Stepless Analog Gain Knob
The D30 DSLR shotgun mic provides a stepless analog gain knob, adjustable from -10dB to 15dB non-linearly. It concurrently controls the microphone amplifier and headphone amplifier. Either input signals or output signals can be adjusted to a proper level for distortionless sound.
Doubled Sound Track Protection
The embedded overdrive protection system protects the sound recording from distortion when it reaches the maximum sound pressure level of 124 dB SPL. The safety channel ensures the audio won't be broken or lost at the peak of SPL by 10dB attenuation.
Real-time Audio Monitoring System
A 3.5mm TRS headphone monitoring jack is used to real-time check what's got in the soundtrack ultimately. The shotgun mic for video camera is paired with those headphones under 55 Ohm impedance to monitor the audio for energy saving.
